With 5,500 people on its payroll including a management team of 300, French company 'O2 home services' is the leader in the field of domestic and childcare help in France. O2 sets out to support busy people with fulltime jobs who need help in cleaning and running their homes. In the words of its slogan, the company “is the oxygen of your daily life”.

With 130 wholly owned agencies across France, the company is now developing roots in Belgium, with the opening of a Brussels office in September of this year. Throughout the year-and-a-half planning process, O2 has received substantial support from Invest in Brussels.

“The legal and institutional situation in Belgium is entirely different from France,” says David Eve, associate director at the O2 head office. “We had to devise a completely new strategy and service offer based on online access. So we found ourselves drawing extensively on the know-how of Invest in Brussels experts. Without their help, the business of setting up a Belgian subsidiary would have been infinitely more complex!”
