Hong Kong Airlines' decision to come to Brussels was confirmed during Flemish Premier Kris Peeters's visit to Hong Kong.
Flights are expected to start in September 2010 and include a stop-over in New Delhi (India). Starting with 3 weekly flights in september to reach 6 connections later this year in order to meet future demand of freight movements.
The airline which already offers services across China and the rest of has chosen Brussels because of its central location in Western Europe, near Germany, France and Britain, not to mention that Brussels is also a good destination for connections to Africa.
Hong Kong Airlines is a parent company of China's Hainan Airlines which already operates passengers flights from Brussels to Beijing and, just recently added the Brussels-Shanghai route to its destinations.
