English-speaking trade tribunal planned for Brussels 06/11/17

Belgian Federal Government has announced its intention to create an international trade tribunal based in Brussels.

As a court of first instance, the tribunal will adjudicate on potential conflicts arising from the Brexit process, as well as on major trade disputes between companies operating internationally.

A significant aspect of the new tribunal is that it will be the first on the Continent to conduct its affairs in English. Also, there will be no appeals process, ensuring accelerated procedures.
